An expert on the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s prevention quality indicators will discuss these measures that can be used with hospital inpatient discharge data to identify quality of care for "ambulatory care sensitive conditions" for which good outpatient care might prevent the need for hospitalization, or for which early intervention can prevent complications or more severe disease. A subsequent discussion led by MHA staff will explore how these measures might be used in Maryland’s payment policies. Presentation
